Tengu (天狗 Tengu?) is a recurring enemy in the Ganbare Goemon series.
Description[]
A flying humanoid being (possibly a demon) wearing a dreadful tengu mask –which portrays a demonic face with an unnatural long nose– and large and loose white clothes. He floats about in the air while throwing projectiles at the player, making him a tough enemy (or boss) to beat.
Several other tengu enemies appeared in later installments of the Ganbare Goemon series, each having its own characteristics and forms of attack, although most having in common the fact of wearing the traditional tengu mask.

Tengu is a green demon-like creature that acts as the boss of the third stage. He is fought similarly to the first boss, Raijin, but is more aggressive. Tengu will throw leaves at the player and move fast. As usual, items are needed to be thrown at him. Like the first boss, he can also use a shield to protect himself against projectiles. In order to defeat him, he needs to be hit three times. When he's hit for the second time, his skin will become red colored and he'll become even more aggressive.
This boss can be skipped if the player just keeps walking past him, although no bonus points (for defeating the boss) will be awarded when doing so.

In this game, the Tengu is a tough enemy that throws fans from the sky.
